Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God! William Tyndale (1492?-1536; English theologian and translator of the Holy Bible; executed for distributing Bibles)

We canNOT suppose that this text [Ed. Note: i.e., I Peter 2:13, 14] enjoins absolute submission to ALL laws that may be made in a land; for some are so wicked, so oppressive, and unjust in their nature and tendency, that the best of men have thought it their indispensable duty to DISOBEY them. David Jones (in a sermon on July 20, 1775)

In the exercise and enjoyment of present blessings we are prone to be oblivious to the history of the past, and it is easy to let slip the great principles by which our privileges were won. The world would be in far worse shape today if, in the years long gone, there had not been men and women willing to die for the purity of simple Biblical truth, especially the business of whether or not a Christian owes unlimited submission to the civil magistrate. The Bible, of course, never teaches that Gods people owe unlimited submission to civil magistrates, even though God Himself has established and ordained the ordinance of civil government. Civil magistrates are to be obeyed only in-so-far as they command that the people obey the laws of God! All of history proves this precept to be correct, and all American preachers who grovel at the feet of the goddess Unlimited Submission should turn their backs on truth and go back to England, begging the Queen to let them and their little Tory congregations set up a colony somewhere on the English Channel. Pastor John Lewis (Preacher; host of the Black Brigade broadcast) (Statement made on June 11, 1990)

Greetings!

Hey Everyone!

I know it's been a week since updating. Well, my Dad is going to repair the van himself and is looking for everything he needs for it. Some of ya'll might not know that I was hit by a car last month.

And last Friday a guy from Texas hit my Gramps' van from behind at 2 something in the morning. His van was banged up pretty good. The guy was going at least 100 miles an hour while my Gramps was driving the speed limit. When he hit him it knocked his van clear across to the other side. The guy's truck rolled and was totaled. He got out all bloodied up. He tried to say that the driver of the truck ran, but there wa sno way this guy was the passenger because he wouldn't of been able to get out of the truck(apparently it was caved in or something). My Gramps was worried that the guy didn't have any insurance because he coudn't speak hardly any English. The hiway patrol men didn't have a test kit tot est the guy to see if he had been intoxicated. So, a police officer was supposed to go to the hospital and give him a blood test. Gramps hasn't heard anything back, yet. Hopefully, God will use this to get ahold of my Gramps.

Last week I went to 3 thrift stores witha lady from church. I was so happy to find a skirt and top for 99cents! Also, I got a platter, glass dish(candy or dessert), glass bread pan all for 99 cents! I found a khaki skirt, 2 western shirts(1 western jacket), 3 summer flowery blouses, a vest, and corduroy skirt.I had been going through my clothes to make sure what was modest and what was walking the edge then get rid of them if so. I have two skirts I have yet to find and that is a good navy one and a black one. I also, a glass creamer, pastry cutter(49 cents),got a home sweet home sign, and picture w/verse.

Last Thursday a black dog with w/spots that was playing in a parking lot across from us with a couple other dogs got hit by a car. I was outside watching the dogs play and then they walked on down the road and two of them walked across a busier street and the black dog got hit. I heard the cry from him and it just about broke me. I started crying a little bit. That poor dog! My Gramps and I walked down the road and was watching the dog and could see how he was laying there and then he tried to get up but he couldn't move from the waist down. We were gonna go over there and move the dog out of the way if he let us so he wouldn't get hit again but before we could a woman pulled up to check on him. Apparently, she saw the car hit him and she followed the car to take it's license plate number down and came back called the number in and called for help. By the time we got there the dog was dead with blood coming out of his mouth. It was so sad and terrible. But, the animal control guy came and got the dog. I can't believe how someone can hit the dog and just take off and not see if it was okay!

On alighter note, last month for my birthday my Dad got me an outback style hat( I picked it out). I like it very much! Actually, I am wearing it in the previous post in a pic of us when we went horseback riding.

We also, got a worm composting bin last month and it's aamzing what they will eat. They eat shredded newspaper, magazines, kleenex, egg shells, cardboard, fruit peels, frut, veggies, cornmeal, coffee grounds/coffee filter, tea bag w/o string/staple, manure, etc. We haven't went and gotten them manure...but I have grinded up the other stuff that needed to be grinded up for the worms. The bin can hold up to 9lbs/9,000 worms but we only have a little over a thousand. Afterawhile we can transplant some to the soil. The make compost out of what we feed them. We can take their castings and "worm tea" and put it on the soil and should help when we plant a garden. It's really good to use.

I also, finally got a hopechest. I got it off of craigslist for only $35. I have it filled already with various things for future use for if the Lord brings me a husband and if not then Praise God Anyways:). I will have to take a picture and post it sometime of it and the worm bin.

God is so good to give us so many blessings undeserving that's what we are. We ought to thank Him, love and praise Him a little more today and a whole lot more tomorrow. -Don't ya just like that song?!

Life with Jesus/God is so wonderful and He is my all in all! AMEN!!!

Well, have a good night, Ya'll!

God bless,

Karla

Last Saturday

Hey, ya'll!

Here are pics from this past Saturday. We wnet canoeing and horse backriding. We should of taken pictures of us on the trail ridng the horses but that's my fault for not grabbing the camera but next time I will, Lord-willing. It was so much fun! Bradley's horse wanted to lead but wasn't supposed to because the cowboys had put my (Peppermint)horse up front which if you know me you know I would a man lead not me! But, they thought it was best because my Pa has ridden horses before and not Bradley or me except for a pony. So, Bradley was in the middle on Dallas while Dad was bringin' up the rear with BJack. Lord-willing we will go again. We loved it!

Canoeing is another story. You can't rest and enjoy the scenery too long otherwise the canoe starts either drifting too close to rocks or heads for the middle of the lake which either way ya look at it is dangerous. But, it wasn't too bad. Got a good work out which is always nice and I like that!

Enjoy!
